Overview

[11C]NOP-1A is a PET radioligand developed for imaging nociceptin/orphanin FQ peptide (NOP) receptors in the brain. It has high affinity (Ki, 0.15 nM) and appropriate lipophilicity (measured logD, 3.4) for PET brain imaging. The radioligand shows high brain uptake, specific binding, and can be quantified using compartmental modeling. It has a short half-life of 11C (20.4 min), which allows a subject to participate in multiple scans in one day.
